§ 6-7.1. Adoption of California Electrical Code.

  • The 2013 California Electrical Code (California Code of Regulation, Title 24, Part 3, including all state-adopted Appendices), and as amended in Section 6-7.2 below, is hereby adopted as the Electrical Code of the City of Colusa, for the safeguarding of life or limb, health, property, and public welfare, and to protect against hazards that may arise from the use of electricity by regulating and controlling the design, construction, installation, quality of materials, location, and operation of electrical equipment, wiring, and systems to ensure that structures are safe, and fit for occupation and use; providing for the issuance of permits and collection of fees therefore; and each and all of the regulations, provisions, penalties, conditions and terms of said electrical code on file in the office of the city clerk are hereby referred to, adopted, and made a part hereof, as is fully set out in this chapter.
