§ 11-8AA. Temporary parking prohibitions.

    Whenever the chief of police determines that an emergency traffic congestion situation is or may be likely to result from the holding of public, or private assemblages, gatherings or functions, or for other reasons, the chief shall have the authority to order temporary signs to be posted indicating that the operation, parking or standing of vehicles is prohibited on such streets as the chief shall direct during the existence of such situation and the chief shall cause such temporary signs to be removed promptly thereafter.

    (2)

    When such signs authorized by the provisions of this section are in place giving notice thereof, no person shall operate, stop, park or leave standing any vehicle contrary to the directions and provisions of such temporary signs.
